Description

Jobber drill with Morse taper shank Design: Particularly sturdy model, profile ground, right cutting, nitrided up to Ø 16.0 mm, surface steam-tempered from Ø 16.0 mm, with precision ground point and wide flutes with strongly rounded back edges. Good centring characteristics due to point thinning according to DIN 1412, form A. Angle of rake larger than normal, core thickness considerably thicker than normal and without core gradient. Application: Suitable for drilling extremely deep holes under difficult conditions e.g. poor chip removal, therefore causing deficient cooling of the drill tip. Particularly suitable for grey cast iron and steels up to 850 N/mm² in strength.
