Steel frame, spindle and anvil with mounting hole for interchangeable measuring inserts, hardened and ground. Hardened steel ball at the base of the hole for correct seating of measuring insert shafts. Adjustable anvil, non-rotating spindle, constant measuring force via ratchet stop, with locking device.
